How secure is ICEShare?
ICEShare uses military-grade encryption (XSalsa20-Poly1305) and enterprise key management (HashiCorp Vault). Your data is encrypted before it leaves your browser and can only be decrypted once by the designated trustee. Learn more on our About page.
What happens after the trustee accesses the information?
Once accessed, the information is permanently and irreversibly deleted. You receive an email notification when access occurs. This one-time access model ensures maximum security.
Can I update or revoke access?
Yes! You receive a management link that allows you to view status, revoke access, extend the expiration, replace the secret, or delete the share entirely.
How long does a share last?
Shares expire after 1 year if not accessed. You'll receive reminder emails before expiration and can extend the share for another year from your management link.
Is there a cost to use ICEShare?
ICEShare is currently free to use. We may introduce premium features in the future, but basic emergency access sharing will always remain free.
Response Time
We strive to respond to all inquiries within 24-48 hours during business days. Security-related reports are prioritized and typically receive a response within 12 hours.
